All of the classes are held on the Cal State Fullerton campus. Please check each class listing for specific information on locations, fees and times.
KUNG FU CLUB PRACTICES
When: Saturdays (now through May 2013)
Time: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Kinesiology & Health Sciences Building, Room 264 (AKA Archery Room KHS 264) Cal State Fullerton campus
Who Can Attend: Open to the public
What Does it Offer: * Street self-defense * How to perform strikes and blocks * Development of fitness, timing, distance and self-confidence * Chinese philosophy, culture, and history * To Kuen (empty-hand forms or kata) * Weapons forms * Weapons training and defense * Sparring
Fees:
* Current members: $10 renewal fee per semester
* New students: $20 one-time membership fee This fee includes a club T-shirt, an official certificate of membership, six months worth of lessons, and invitations to all social events.
All fee periods are paid based on Cal State Fullerton's semester system. The Spring Semester runs from February through July. The Fall runs from August through January.
Your fee for a year's worth of kung fu lessons will never cost more than $30.
If you're new, that works out to be about $2.50 per month or $0.63 per class for your first year! If you're a returning member, than your cost is only $1.67 per month or $0.42 a class!!!
MARTIAL ARTS FITNESS CLASS (sponsored by the CSUF's Recreation Department)
When: Mondays and Wednesdays (now through May 2013)
Time: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Student Recreation Center Room: Martial Arts Studio Cal State Fullerton campus
Who Can Attend: CSUF Students and Student Recreation Center members only
What Does it Offer: * How to strike padded targets in a fun and safe environment * The basics of how to kick, punch, elbow, knee and more * Street self-defense * Development of fitness, timing, distance and self-confidence Fees: * $0 -- This class is free to all CSUF students and SRC members
